Malcolm Beaty
Vocalist
Malcolm Beaty is a classically trained tenor, actor, and storyteller with over 20 years of experience spanning opera, theatre, cabaret, and voiceover. A longtime soloist and ensemble member with Fort Worth Opera, he brings warmth, polish, and quiet power to every performance.
His musical roots trace back to the gospel choirs of Fort Worth, Texas, and artists like The Clark Sisters and Darryl Coley, who shaped his soulful, expressive style. Today, he combines his operatic foundation with the intimacy of cabaret, the clarity of narration, and the spark of live storytelling.
Malcolm’s cabaret shows come with three essentials: rich vocals, good stories, and at least one raised eyebrow. Whether honoring Nina Simone with a little bit of jazz and a little bit of fire, or blending cheeky humor with soulful drama, his performances deliver humor, heart, and depth.
As Nina Simone once said, “An artist’s duty is to reflect the times.” Malcolm reflects them with grace, grit, and groove, leaving audiences a little lighter, a little moved, and always glad they came.
