Nicole Schellekens

Nicole is a versatile dancer from The Netherlands with a special interest in the style of Bob Fosse. She has trained in a wide variety of styles including but not limited to ballet, jazz, heels and commercial. Recently, she started training more in waacking, tap and several latin/ballroom styles.

In Canada, Nicole has trained with respected dancers such as Lindsay Aquin, Cynthia Macedo, Sarahi Cardenas and Ryan Kelly. She has had the opportunity to work with the Ballet Jörgen Mentorship students for their annual performance and she also worked as a character performer for the Distillery Winter Village. Here, Nicole could spread joy and happiness as well as gain experience in acting and improvisation.

In Norway, she has worked with experienced performers and choreographers such as Kirsty McDonald, Oliver Paulsson and Fransiska Sveinall. Nicole has made her musical theatre debut in 2023 performing in the ensemble of Grease which played for an exclusive time at Oslo Spektrum Arena. Later on she was a part of the tryout group for the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in partnership with Göteborg Operaen. At Bårdar, she has had the opportunity to be a swing during a Mamma Mia repertoire workshop and she performed in a shortened version of the musical Cats during her graduation performance. She has also worked with the Norwegian television broadcaster NRK to perform as a dancer in the TV-show ‘Stjernekamp’ on multiple occasions during season 11.

Nicole has recently made the jump to cruise line work and is currently working as a production cast dancer for Costa Cruises. She is a hard working and driven performer who thrives in the social environment onboard.
