Josy Gruijters

Josy Gruijters is a Dutch/Mexican soprano and actress, born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. As a young girl, her mother would take her to the theatre often, and it was love at first sight. Josy knew then and there that she would dedicate her life to the stage. At 17 years old, she was accepted into the Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts, where she went on to get her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Theatre. Josy is a very versatile performer, as her voice is well suited for classical/operatic- as well as contemporary repertoire. Before she had even graduated from school, Josy made her professional debut in Spring Awakening as Martha Bessel. In 2025/2026, she will be touring the country with West Side Story, in which she’ll portray the role of Rosalia, as well as being the first cover of Maria.
