Matthijs van der Meer

Matthijs van der Meer is a highly versatile artist, director, and choreographer, trained in Musical Theatre at Fontys Academy of the Arts. Over the course of his career, he has built a reputation across theatre productions, concerts, and large-scale events, establishing himself as a multifaceted performer with an impressive range of skills.

As a performer, Matthijs is known for his authenticity on stage, captivating audiences as a singer, dancer, and actor. With a powerful voice, he frequently performs in concerts spanning jazz, pop, rock, and musical theatre genres. In addition, Matthijs often works as a director and choreographer, including on large-scale events and musicals.

Beyond performing, Matthijs is passionate about arts education. He co-founded Musical Master, a preparatory musical theatre program, where he serves as Artistic Director, mentoring young talent while teaching tap dance and musical theatre repertoire. He also teaches tap at Fontys Academy of the Arts, sharing his experience and passion with the next generation of performers.
